Sending money can lead to delays, which can be inconvenient. These delays can happen when the automatic transfer process doesn't meet all the required conditions.
This article explains the reasons behind unexpected delays in your outgoing transfer and offers tips on how to manage them.
Transfer status: Pending
Sometimes, when you send money, your transfer might be assigned the status Pending. This means that your transfer has been initiated and is scheduled to happen within a few days. While in the Pending status, the money hasn't been deducted (debited) from your account yet, but your Available balance will be affected.
Transaction delay factors
If your transaction remains in Pending status for longer than expected, it may be because it’s being manually reviewed. During this time, the team may ask you for more information.
Of course, it should not happen, but if your outgoing transaction remains in the Pending status for longer than anticipated (excluding target closing days) without any communication from GoDutch, please submit a support request via [email protected].
Transfer status update: Booked or Rejected
After we finish reviewing internally, we'll update you on the status of your transfer with one of the following:
Booked: the transfer has been debited from your account, and your "Booked" balance is impacted in the account's balance.
Rejected: the transfer has been declined or refused, and no money has been debited from your account.
Non-instant
Please check if your transfer was instant or non-instant.
Instant SEPA Credit Transfers are always processed immediately (24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year).
Non-instant SEPA transactions are subject to certain limitations on specific days known as "TARGET closing days.” The SEPA network is unavailable on the following TARGET closing days:
Saturdays and Sundays
New Year's Day
Easter Monday
Good Friday
Labor Day (1 May)
Christmas Day
Boxing Day (26 December)
