By connecting your GoDutch account to your bookkeeping software, you can complete your administration with ease, as all your financial data will be displayed in your bookkeeping software in real time. Use the steps below to enable the integration with e-Boekhouden accounting software.
💡 You can enable this integration yourself (see Option A), or you can invite your bookkeeper/controller as a team member in your GoDutch account and let them carry out the entire process (see Option B). The latter option requires a paid plan, but it saves you a lot of time. Keep in mind that you need full administration rights, including the ability to create bank entries in your accounting software, to set up the integration.
What we recommend:
Option A → If you don't work with a bookkeeper or accountant.
Option B → If you do work with a bookkeeper or accountant.
Prerequisites
Before you start, make sure you have the following in place:
👤 You have full administration rights in GoDutch, including the ability to create bank entries.
🔑 You have generated an API token in e-Boekhouden (see below how to do this).
How to generate an API token in e-Boekhouden:
Log in to your e-Boekhouden account.
Navigate to the API token management page:
Go to Beheer in the top menu.
In the left sidebar, under Inrichting, select Koppelingen.
In the API section, find e-Boekhouden API and click Verder.
Click Toevoegen to create a new API token.
Give your API token a name, copy the token (using the Kopieer button) and click Opslaan.
⚠️ Important: the token is displayed only once, so make sure to save it immediately. Otherwise, you'll need to generate a new token.
💡 You don't need to set an end date for the token. We recommend leaving this field blank.
Option A: do it yourself
Step 1: Set up the connection
Log in to your GoDutch account.
Navigate to Integrations and select e-Boekhouden.
Click Connect.
Choose a name for your connection.
ℹ️ Can't see the connection name field? Then you can skip this step and continue.
Select the country. You can identify this by the domain of your e-Boekhouden web interface: .nl for the Netherlands and .be for Belgium.
Click Connect to finalise the connection.
The connection is now active! From now on, all executed bank transactions will be visible in your e-Boekhouden administration.
☝️ Please note: transactions from before the moment the connection was established won't automatically appear in your e-Boekhouden administration. You'll need to upload these via an MT940 file. Contact your bookkeeper for help with this.
Option B: Invite your bookkeeper/accountant to your GoDutch environment and let them carry out the process
Log in to your GoDutch account.
Navigate to Users and click New.
Fill in the personal details of the new team member (i.e. those of your bookkeeper).
Important: the mobile phone number is used for KYC and identity verification. We recommend using your bookkeeper's personal mobile number rather than a business number.
Set the desired permission level. 'View only' rights are sufficient for your bookkeeper to create the connection and generate reports.
Add an address for this team member. This can be a business address.
Share the invitation link with your bookkeeper.
Voilà! Your bookkeeper is now invited to your GoDutch environment and can set up integrations with e-Boekhouden, download bank statements, and create custom reports whenever needed – without costing you any extra time.
